LED lights come in two basic types: analog and digital. They have different controls, so it's good to know which one you need for your project. Analog bars are available in monochrome (one color) or RGB (full spectrum). They are sold in scrolls and can be cut into small pieces. These segments are marked with metal contact pads, sometimes with scissor icon screens printed on them (love those!). . The strips shown here are 5cm and 10cm long and each segment contains 3 LEDs. Typically, the light bar uses 30, 32, 60 or 120 LEDs per meter, which changes the price and power consumption.
